Editorial Policy
Famenex covers today’s British Royal Family through the history, titles, traditions, public roles, and precedents that shape the monarchy.
This policy sets the standards for all articles published on Famenex.
Accuracy
Accuracy takes priority over speed. We check names, dates, titles, quotations, family relationships, historical events, and other material facts before publication.
When information changes or remains uncertain, we state what is known and attribute claims to the source reporting them. We do not present rumor, speculation, or opinion as established fact.
Sources and Attribution
We prefer official records, public statements, government documents, royal household information, archives, established news organizations, books, and recognized historical sources.
Articles identify or link to important sources when attribution helps readers assess the information. Quotations must reflect the original meaning and remain connected to their proper speaker and context.
Famenex does not claim private access to royal households or unnamed insiders. Reports based on another publication’s work are clearly attributed to that publication.
Royal History and Context
Famenex connects current royal events with earlier monarchs, family decisions, titles, customs, and constitutional developments.
Historical comparisons must rest on documented facts. We distinguish direct connections, established precedents, and broader similarities between different people or periods.
We use current titles where appropriate and explain earlier titles when they form part of the historical record.
Fairness
Our coverage treats living people and historical figures fairly. Articles should reflect the available evidence and avoid unsupported judgments about private motives, thoughts, or intentions.
When a subject involves disagreement or conflicting accounts, we present the relevant positions and identify the evidence behind them.
Public interest guides decisions about personal information. Private details belong in an article only when they have a clear and relevant connection to the subject.
Headlines, Images, and Quotations
Headlines must accurately represent the article. They should identify the central subject without exaggerating facts or promising information the article does not contain.
Images, captions, and quotations must appear in proper context. Famenex does not knowingly use altered material in a way that misleads readers about a person, place, document, or event.
Independence
Famenex makes its editorial decisions independently. The website has no affiliation with the British Royal Family, the Royal Household, any palace office, or the British government.
Advertisers and commercial partners do not determine which subjects Famenex covers or what its articles conclude. Paid material, if published, will be clearly identified.
More information about our independent status appears in our Disclaimer.
Corrections
Famenex corrects material factual errors when reliable evidence supports a change. A correction may address a name, date, title, quotation, historical claim, family relationship, or description of an event.
Readers can report a possible error by providing the article title, page link, disputed detail, and supporting evidence.
Our Corrections Policy explains how to submit a request.
